Am I eligible to join the Westerville South Marching Band?

• Any student with instrumental music or dance experience entering 8-12th grade is eligible to join.

• If entering 8th grade, you must be districted to Westerville South to join.

• Any student entering 9th grade and attending Westerville South (including via open enrollment) is eligible.

• Questions about districting should be directed to Becca Yanni, Director of Extracurricular Activities.

• Elligible performance groups include: brass, woodwind, percusison, guitar/bass, drums, dance, and color guard.

When are important dates and when do rehearsals start?

• Kick Off Meeting for Students and Families

  • Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at 7 PM

• 4th of July Parade 

  • Rehearsals on July 1, 2, and 3 from 4:30-7:30 

  • Parade is in the morning on July 4, 2025

• Band Camp 

  • This takes place at Westerville South (no travel, no overnight)

  • Week 1: July 21 - 25 from 9AM - 5 PM

  • Week 2: July 28 - August 1 from 9AM - 5 PM
